Fitzroy North Doctors is a mixed billing practice. Our billing structure is aimed at providing top-quality healthcare at affordable out-of-pocket rates. Our consultation fees will vary depending on several factors, including consultation length, appointment time, Medicare legislation, and medical complexity.

At our clinic, we offer bulk billing for concession card holders, pensioners, and children under 16 years of age, ensuring that they have zero out-of-pocket expenses for regular consultations.

Please be advised that fees for certain medical procedures, such as minor surgical procedures and travel vaccinations, may be higher than usual. Additionally, any applicable Medicare rebates may also be larger.

Out-of-pocket costs for diagnostic tests and specialist visits may vary, and your doctor can provide guidance on these expenses.

Please note that a facility fee will be charged for all procedures carried out in our Treatment Room to ensure adequate levels of nursing and medical care. There is no Medicare rebate available for the facility fee. Furthermore, this fee is separate from any fees charged for medical dressings or supplies used during the procedure.

Kindly take note: payment must be made on the same day of service. We accept cash, payment via EFTPOS, and debit or credit cards, including VISA, MasterCard, and American Express.

Please note that we do NOT accept Amex, direct debit/bank transfers, Diners Club, or cheques. Phone payments are accepted by credit card at 94 81 00 00.

We value your time and understand that unforeseen circumstances may require you to cancel or change your appointment. To accommodate the needs of all our patients, we kindly request that you notify us at least 2 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time if you need to cancel or make changes. This allows us to offer the appointment slot to other patients on our waiting list and helps us maintain efficient scheduling.

Effective February 1st, 2024, there will be a $20 fee for any no-show appointments or cancellations made less than 2 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time. This decision was made by management in response to a growing number of patients who have failed to inform us or attend their appointments.

We are pleased to inform you that we now offer electronic processing of Medicare rebates, enabling us to transfer payments directly to your bank account within 24 hours. To take advantage of this service, we kindly request that you register with Medicare before your appointment.
